Call it my Type A personality, but staying still has never been my thing. The Outer Banks first captured my heart in 2006 — it reminded me so much of my coastal hometown in Latvia, where I lived until I was five. The pine trees, sand dunes, ocean air, and long, endless beaches, all felt like home. I knew I’d found my happy place.

But I didn’t settle down right away. For eight years, I lived at sea as a gallery director on cruise ships, traveling to 52 countries and soaking up inspiration from around the globe. That chapter was filled with art, fast-paced events, and unforgettable adventure.

Eventually, I made the move from Russia to the Outer Banks — the place that kept calling me back. I may not have grown up here, but after seeing the world, this is the place that feels most like home. So, when you choose the Outer Banks to celebrate your Big Day, we have something in common. And yes, I still love hopping on a cruise whenever I can.

It gives me “warm fuzzies” to call the Outer Banks my home. For me it’s sand dunes and pine trees, pink cotton candy sunsets and lighthouses and of course friendly people. I'm so grateful to share this stunning destination with couples from all over. As a local expert, I’m able to offer insider knowledge and guide you to make the most of this beautiful area.

It All Started With An Adventure

Planning has always thrilled me and gave me a sense of fulfillment. For 6 years I planned and coordinated live art auctions and various art events on board cruise ships. Complying with the cruise lines and gallery high standards I learnt how to ensure that events run effectively and smoothly.

Working with art plunged me into the world of aesthetics, style and design constantly intriguing me with colors and shapes. My other favorite part of the job was to give personalized attention to the guests while helping them to find the artwork that would match their heart and home.

Now, I’m fortunate to call the Outer Banks home, where I can take in the beauty of nature every day—from the calming ocean and the peaceful sound to the tranquil woods and rolling sand dunes. These walks, which I lovingly refer to as my “mental walks,” help me reset and recharge.

I’m a first-time dog mom to Halo, my Cavapoo fluff ball, and I’m fully obsessed. There’s honestly no better feeling than watching him sprint toward me with a stick in his mouth like it’s the best prize in the world.

Sailing has been a big part of my life for the 8 years that I worked on cruise ships: 17 different ships, over a 100 different ports. Now I am an avid cruiser, either planning or looking forward to my next cruise.
